Wool insulation RosEcoMat Wool

RosEcoMat Wool is a natural insulation made from sheep wool. When using this insulation, you can improve the microclimate, minimize noise and save heat in the building.

The fiber of sheep wool consists of protein molecules of keratin. Amino acids, which in turn make up the protein keratin, bind formaldehydes, NOₓ и SO2.

Wool fiber is elastic in its physical properties, acts as a spiral spring (elongates when stretched and contracts when released): each fiber can withstand more than 20,000 compressions.

  • Information about the product

Keratin molecules prevent the spread of mold and mildew. Wool is able to absorb moisture and continue to perform the function of insulation (the follicles inside the fiber can hold water up to a third of its own weight), and thereby prevents the formation of condensation.

The scaly structure of the wool makes it possible to detain dust carried through the air.

Due to the noise reduction coefficient (from 0.90 to 1.15), the sheep wool insulation creates an excellent sound barrier in the house: the spiral structure of sheep wool molecules helps to reduce the propagation of sound.

Sheep's wool does not burn. It requires 25.2% oxygen in order to burn wool.
Our air contains only about 21% oxygen, what means that burning wool extinguishes itself.
The flash point of wool is reached only at a temperature of 580 ° C.
