«RosEcoMat Kraft Tape» is reinforced with fiberglass fabric and is specifically designed to provide permanent fixation of seams and overlaps during the installation of the vapor barrier membrane «RosEcoMat Kraft Steam Barrier VCL». Compared to conventional adhesive tapes, it offers significantly higher tear resistance.
The Kraft tape can also be used for preparing paper or cardboard surfaces prior to insulation with blown-in cellulose, sheep’s wool, hemp, or wood fiber insulation materials, both indoors and outdoors. The tape, based on Kraft paper, is resistant to dust, cold, heat, and moisture, ensuring reliable sealing of the construction. The vapor barrier membrane is bonded with an overlap of 15–20 cm.
Important notes:
- If the surfaces of the vapor barrier to be bonded are wet or covered with frost, the adhesive tape will not stick!
- If the surfaces to be bonded are contaminated with dirt, dust, sawdust, oil, or similar substances, the adhesive bond will be weakened, and the tape may only adhere insufficiently.
